Theo, an initiative of the vkm, receives active support

The proceeds of the 7th Regensburg Christmas singing are for the construction of a center for animal-assisted therapy

On December 21, 2024, the seventh edition will feature wonderful Christmas carols for a good cause starting at 7 p.m. in the Stadtwerk.Donau-Arena.

Among those taking part will be the Cantemus Choir, the Big Band Convention East Bavaria, the a cappella band B'n't, singer and songwriter Michael Lex, the Regensburg Theater, Susi Raith & the Spießer, and the Glen Pegnitz Pipe Band. The nearly 3,000 spectators can especially look forward to Jennifer Lynn, who wowed everyone on The Voice of Germany (SAT 1 and ProSieben).

An ice rink is even being prepared for a choreography by the EV Regensburg figure skaters to live music.

Towards the end of the big charity gala, athletes from Regensburg's best clubs will take the stage and sing along.

All for a good cause. Admission is free, but donations are requested. Theo, a center for animal-assisted therapy for the eastern Bavarian region, is being built in Zeitlarn in the Regensburg district.

Fundraising is being done for this project. Celebrities from the worlds of sports, culture, and politics will be available on-site, as well as at the donation hotlines in the Donau Arena, to take calls and accept donations. Among those taking part are District Council President Franz Löffler, Regensburg Mayor Gertrud Maltz-Schwarzfischer, Bishop Dr. Rudolf Voderholzer, actor Marcus Mittermeier, Olympic judo champion Ole Bischof, Gstanzl singer and comedian Bäff Piendl, and singer Jennifer Lynn.

The donation hotline will be open from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM on the evening of the show at 0941/204 99999. Every hour, all callers who donate €10 or more will be entered into a raffle for prizes. These prizes include a hotel stay or VIP tickets to the Regensburg Ice Bears.

Last year, the Regensburg Christmas caroling event raised over 450,000 euros for a VKKK aftercare center for children suffering from cancer.

The largest charity gala in Eastern Bavaria will be broadcast live on TVA via cable, on OTV via satellite, and via stream on www.regensburger-weihnachtssingen.de on December 21st, starting at 7 p.m.

Full length replay on Boxing Day from 6:00 PM on TVA and OTV
